AI use

I wrote my raw thinking for this task as notes in Notion, then used AI to help reformat and tighten that draft into the six sections requested, and to condense the first version (originally too long) to two pages.

I also asked for ideas re: additional partner categories, it suggested mastermind groups and international wealth management. I kept wealth management but dropped masterminds (most run as in-person local chapters and don’t match how this audience lives).

Prompts used:
(1) “Here are my raw notes on partner categories, prioritisation, sourcing, validation and tracking for this task attached in PDF. reorganise into the requested sections, keep my reasoning and examples intact, don’t add new content, keep it conversational not corporate.”
(2) “Given this ICP and the categories I pasted from Notion, are there any other partner categories worth considering beyond the ones I’ve listed?”
(3) “Create a single-page HTML version inspired by SafetyWing’s website. Preserve every word exactly as written. Improve only the presentation, visual hierarchy and readability.”
Core idea: stop looking for people who talk about travel, and start looking for people who already talk to this audience about something else they care about: money, their kids’ education, their business, or their body.

Partner categories

Global taxation, residency & citizenship advisory firms

Anyone paying five figures for a second residency or a tax restructure is already living this lifestyle, and is used to paying for premium advice.

ExpatFIRE communities

financially independent people living abroad, often keeping formal residency in one country while spending most of the year elsewhere. Coverage that follows them is important.

Premium homeschooling / worldschooling families

No local school because moving too often = no local healthcare. Parents probably at an age where screenings and check ups are needed.

Nomad entrepreneurship educators

courses/communities for people building location-independent businesses.

International wealth management & advisory

advisors already handling tax, investment and residency for mobile clients.

Multi-currency / borderless business banking

Wise, Mercury, Revolut business users. Weaker filter since anyone can open an account, but they run international businesses.

Location-independent health & fitness

health-conscious by definition, but no income filter, so I’d only test premium paid products, not free-tier apps.

02

Prioritisation: 56 Leads Total

Ranked on: Income/mobility profile, how much trust the partner already holds with that audience, likely purchase intent / buyer journey.

1–3
Taxation / residency firms: 12 leads • ExpatFIRE communities: 12 leads • Homeschooling / worldschooling: 12 leads
4–5
Entrepreneurship educators: 6 leads • Wealth management: 6 leads
6–7
Business banking: 4 leads • Health & fitness: 4 leads
The top three get equal weight because they test different hypotheses. Professional-service intent, community trust, family necessity.

I’d start with ExpatFIRE and taxation firms the same week: ExpatFIRE because communities move fast and validate the message quickly, taxation firms because purchase intent is highest even if the sales conversation is slower.

Homeschooling starts a week later fewer partners to find, so it needs more sourcing time up front.
03

Sourcing and outreach

Taxation & residency

Nomad Capitalist (nomadcapitalist.com), Taxes for Expats (taxesforexpats.com), Denationalize.me (denationalize.me, runs localised versions in six languages, worth sponsoring the free ebooks rather than one post).

Contact: Andrew Henderson, founder, found via Nomad Capitalist’s own leadership page. I’d try the partnerships inbox first, then go around it (LinkedIn, cold email, or a call).

ExpatFIRE

FIRE Abroad (fireabroad.com, tightest match of the six), ChooseFI (choosefi.com, 100k+ members a scale test once the message is proven), Our Rich Journey (ourrichjourney.com, creator-led, family + FIRE + international living).

Contact: Eric M., co-founder of FIRE Abroad, listed on the site. First outreach because the community is built specifically around FI-abroad, not general FI.

04

Scrappy validation

Test: a co-branded “Expat FIRE healthcare checklist” with FIRE Abroad.

We’d write and design it (no work for Eric beyond distribution), pay roughly $800 plus an affiliate commission, and ask for one newsletter/community post and ideally a live Q&A.

Deliverable: a 3–5 page PDF plus a landing page with its own tracking link.

Runtime: 2–3 weeks.

PASS

strong downloads plus a handful of qualified quote starts.
FAIL

people engage with FIRE content generally but skip the healthcare piece tells us the audience is right but the angle isn’t, or vice versa.
05

Tracking and measurement

Reach
LP visits / CTR
Downloads
Nomad Complete clicks
Quote starts
Completed quotes
Purchases

Partnership level: commission paid, revenue per lead, and eventually CAC and LTV:CAC by partner.

Because the cycle is long, I’d treat the first 4–6 weeks as a leading-indicator window (engagement, sign-ups, quote starts) and track cohorts by partner and acquisition date so purchases landing months later still attribute correctly.

Two separate questions on two timelines: is this category worth doubling down on (early), and is this specific partner actually profitable (later, once a cohort matures).

06

Scale-up

A pass doesn’t mean more budget right away but it means figuring out what actually worked: the partner, the audience, the format, or the offer.

I’d run a second, slightly different test with the same partner before assuming the result generalises.

Go deeper

Recurring placements, affiliate integration, a co-branded resource hub.
Go wider

Use the proven pitch on 10–20 similar partners instead of starting cold each time.
Optimize

Only increase spend once extra volume isn’t quietly pushing CAC up.

At that point I’d write down the actual playbook: partner profile, pitch, format and funnel so the next test doesn’t start from zero.
